About Me

First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and reading about me.  I have been so blessed in my short life here on earth and I’m thankful to have this opportunity to share my experiences with you. Growing up in North Carolina, my life was about God, family, and sports. I started playing football when I was 6 years old and never looked back until I graduated from the University of Tennessee as a 4 year Letterman in football.

During my years growing up I have been able to experience some amazing things that have touched my heart. In high school I was selected to play in an all-star football game called the Shrine Bowl. The game was great but the life touching moment came when we were able to visit the Shriner’s hospital and spend time with the children there. The thing that struck me most about that visit was no matter how much pain and agony the children had endured, they still loved life and had a smile on their face from ear to ear. I will always remember that day and remind myself that I am so blessed and should enjoy every minute of the life I’ve been given. Besides the Shrine Bowl, my involvement in sports also gave me the chance to speak to over 100 different churches and youth groups during my days at UT. It was an honor to speak to the young children about God, life, family, friendships and many other important things they may encounter throughout their daily walk.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1997 with a degree in Retail Consumer Science, I focused my career on real estate. That same year, my brother started Heath Shuler Real Estate, where I worked as an agent from 1998-2000.  In 2001, I became the president of the company.  During my presidency I helped grow the company from 4 agents with one office to over 250 agents with 5 offices. In 2004 I sold the company to steer my efforts towards real estate development.  As a developer from 2004 to 2008, I built and sold over 100 homes in Knoxville and the surrounding areas.

In the past few years I have mainly focused on real estate and medical sales. I know this may seem like a strange combination and you may wonder how it came about.  My partner in real estate also owns a company called Physician Pharmaceutical Corporation also known as PPC.  The company is a pharmaceutical wholesaler whose emphasis is to help physicians dispense their own medications. This model is great for the patients but it’s also a way for the physicians to increase their bottom-line.  You can learn more about PPC at ppcdrx.com.

I am currently creating a business plan for another venture that I hope to launch January 1st 2011. I will keep you updated as I continue with that endeavor, as it’s something that I am very excited about and look forward to sharing with you!  I want to thank my wife Jennifer and my precious little girl Manhattan who have always stood by my side during the good times and the bad. I want to wish everyone a wonderful day and thank you again for taking the time to read a little about me. Remember that life is great and you should always enjoy and cherish your time with family and friends.
